Family Law: Paternity

Unmarried parents have rights and obligations towards their children. Legal paternity can be established voluntarily, or at any time after birth. If there is a dispute about legal parentage, it can be proven by a DNA test (basal cell swab test). Both birth parents have the right to access the court to establish or challenge paternity, establish child support, and establish parenting time and custody rights.

The lawyers at Stephens Margolin P.C. can advise you of your rights, and help guide you through the court process.
