Jon Berman

Born in Connecticut, Jon is a graduate of Columbia University where he majored in Political Science. After working for several years on Wall Street, he went on to the University of Connecticut School of Law where he graduated near the top of his class. Prior to joining the firm, Jon practiced family law at the Washington County office of St. Andrew Legal Clinic.

As a family law attorney, Jon strives to make the often harrowing experiences associated with family law as effortless as possible for his clients, and for their families. Jon firmly believes that, in addition to being an advisor to, and an advocate for, his clients, the practice of family law requires him to also be a supporter, a cheerleader, a soothing voice, and even a friend. To be able to help his clients through this difficult period, to show them that their lives are not over, that their children will continue to thrive, particularly with their continued love and support – these are the things that drive Jon in his practice of family law.

Prior to beginning his family law practice, Jon clerked for the Honorable Michael McShane at the Multnomah County Circuit Court. Jon was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2005. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Oregon State Bar and American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Multnomah County and Washington County Bar

Jon is an avid sports fan. He continues to root for his east coast teams, though he enjoys attending Blazers games, and he can often be found during the summer at PGE Park cheering on the Portland Beavers.
